Veterinary Services
At Castaway Animal Clinic, we provide compassionate care for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, and livestock such as cattle, goats, pigs, and more. Whether your furry friend needs routine care or your livestock requires expert attention, our dedicated team is here to support the health and well-being of your animals.

Canine & Feline Services
Whether your furry friend needs a routine check-up, vaccinations, or specialized care, we provide comprehensive services for both dogs and cats. Our team is committed to keeping your pets healthy and happy with compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.
Puppy & Kitten Visits
Puppy and kitten visits include an examination, appropriate vaccinations, intestinal parasite testing, deworming, and discussion of routine care and adjustment to a new pet. Three to four visits are recommended depending on your pet’s individual needs.
Wellness Exams
Yearly wellness exams include an examination, appropriate vaccinations, heartworm testing in dogs, intestinal parasite testing, and discussion of any health concerns you have as well as of any issues detected by our veterinarians on examination
Geriatric Exams
Geriatric exams include an examination, appropriate vaccinations, heartworm testing in dogs, intestinal parasite testing, basic bloodwork to screen for early disease processes such as kidney disease, and discussion of good management of any debilitating or life-threatening diseases. Geriatric pets should be examined twice a year.
Surgery
We provide full surgical services at our clinic, including routine spays and neuters, dental cleanings, soft tissue surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, endoscopy, emergent surgeries, and more. We are happy to schedule a consultation to discuss surgical options for your pet.
End-of-Life Care
We understand that dealing with the loss of a pet is difficult - our clinic is here for you. We provide euthanasia services both in-clinic and at home visits. We have partnered with a cremation service to offer a variety of cremation packages, if desired.
Sick Visits
We know it isn’t easy when your companion is hurt or sick. We offer complete medical assessments, bloodwork and laboratory testing in-clinic as well as in partnership with specialty laboratories, digital x-rays, ultrasounds, and more. We are equipped to provide extended-hours hospitalization to pets when needed in order to provide the best care possible.
Home Visits
Home visits provide convenience and personalized care, and can give your veterinarian a more complete picture of your pet’s behavior and health. These visits allow for pets to experience the stress-free environment of their own home, avoiding anxiety associated with carriers, car rides, and vet offices. We are able to provide a range of services during home visits including examinations, vaccinations, digital-x-rays, and more.
Reproduction
We provide full reproductive services at our clinic including progesterone testing, insemination, transcervical insemination (TCI), surgical insemination, planned cesarean sections (C-sections), emergency cesarean sections, and more.

We are a premium boarding facility with multiple outdoor play times between 6:00am and 7:00pm on grass runs. Our kennel technicians are trained team members who are doing what they love!

We can make your pet feel more at home with daily enrichments. Your companion will receive individual attention in the form of a leash walk, fetch, toy play, treat puzzles, etc.

We are happy to provide baths and nail trims for your pet while they are boarding or as a day visit

We offer weekend boarding pick-up and drop-off during the following times:
7:30am - 8:00am
5:30pm - 6:00pm
Please remain in your vehicle and a team member will come out to you during the designated times. If you arrive early, you will need to wait until the designated time.
We do not allow clients to walk inside the gates or inside the building on weekends. Please wait for one of the staff members if you need assistance.

We see livestock and large animal appointments at our clinic haul-in facility as well as on farm calls with our mobile unit. Our mobile unit services communities such as Eclectic, Auburn, Tallassee, Notasulga, Opelika, Dadeville, Wetumpka, Alexander City, Newsite, Beauregard, Sylacauga, and more.
